Daseinsanalysis

Lexicon

Thirteen fundamental concepts, in the four languages the school works in.

The Zurich school explored many times the possibility of translating Dasein into other languages, and concluded that the word loses its intrinsic meaning under any such attempt. The German was kept, in order to distinguish this work from the existential, interpersonal and humanistic psychotherapies, and because it refers uniquely to Heidegger’s ontological analytic of Dasein.
